WNC Sierra Club Event Series Continues with More Local Leaders in Music, Art, & Policy
The decisions we make today determine the community we have tomorrow.

Location: Wedge Brewing Company. 5 Foundy St. Asheville, NC, 28801. In the River Arts District.
Join the WNC Sierra Club for the second installment of our MAP (Music, Art, and Policy) Series, featuring an evening of music, art, and policy focused on turning inspiration into action. Each month we are featuring young local leaders, artists and musicians who will share how their work is shaped by their passion for our planet.
Our featured guests for October are:
Maggie Ullman, Asheville City Council Member, Asheville’s first Sustainability Director, and president of Ullman Consulting, a non-profit and philanthropy consultancy focused on equitable solutions to climate change.
Scott “Doc” Varn, local artist and executive director of Preserving a Picturesque America, which aims to preserve historic and natural spaces through the power of art.
Zaq Suarez, local musician and songwriter and founder of Open Folk AVL, a free weekly musical showcase.
