Asheville-born and raised in the mountains of Haywood County, Christopher Holt’s roots have a strong hold on his native land. His work reflects this connection to nature as well as themes of meditation, unity, and recognition.

Demonstrating a firm grasp in the fundamentals of drawing and painting, exhibiting a graceful line and free use of color he wields his attention toward projects that can make an impact on community. His Haywood Street Beatitudes Fresco in Asheville and wall painting on silver-leaf in the Greg Poole All Faiths Chapel at Dix Park in Raleigh each compel the viewer to find their place in a larger story of community and history.

His firm belief in the power of art to preserve natural and historic places attracted him to PAPA’s unique mission and he sees it as an exciting and necessary intersection of art, conservation, and action.
